The world is coming to Kansas City for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and we want to show visitors more than fancy stadiums and big screens. As our city welcomes hundreds of thousands of guests from around the globe, this is also an opportunity to highlight how urban areas can celebrate sustainably, from composting food waste to supporting local farms and food systems.The Vision
At Compost Collective KC, we believe food "waste" is a valuable resource. By turning food scraps into nutrient-rich compost for local farms and gardens, we support a full-circle food system that goes from table to farm and back to table again.

Looking to escape the crowds and take a break from the excitement of the games? Join us at Urbavore Farm for a relaxing and educational visit focused on local food, urban farming, composting, and sustainability in Kansas City.
Tour experiences can include:
