Unfortunately, COVID fatigue is real, so is environmental fatigue, and social justice fatigue in general. It makes it hard to continue caring about these issues, especially in 2020 where there is a new issue every day. It makes it harder to stay vigilant with social distancing, care for the environment, help the BLM movement, and respond to the environmental disasters that keep happening. It’s a lot.
If you’ve been feeling the weight of it all lately — welcome to the club! The good news is that you are not alone, and there is a lot of chatter about just this topic right now. In fact, there is a nonprofit here in KC devoted to just this issue — The Resilient Activist. They work to help build resilient communities that are able to fight for the health of our planet while taking care of themselves.
Compost Collective will be partnering with The Resilient Activist for an exciting project – so stay tuned! In the meantime, here are some ways to help the many crises that are happening right now, as well as resources to help yourself and your loved ones.
