Event Composting
Events tend to generate a lot of waste, but yours doesn’t have to! Compost your next event with the help of Compost Collective KC.
Compost Collective KC is subject to alter the total price if volume of waste exceeds tote capacity or if length of event exceeds 3 hours when staff coverage is necessary.
We accept all food waste, including meat, bones, and dairy. Please note that if you would like to compost packaging and/or tableware in addition to food scraps, we require proof of BPI-certified compostable wares prior to the event in order to reduce contamination.
CCKC requires staff coverage for events with more than 500 attendees in order to monitor contamination & educate patrons about composting. If you have less than 30 attendees, you may prefer collecting your own waste using our extra-large compostable bags ($5 for 3 XL bags) and dropping it off at our free compost trailer located at Urbavore Urban Farm at 5500 Bennington Ave in KCMO.
What's Included
- Delivery of all the compost collection materials the week before your event
- Waste will be hauled away to our farm facility then turned into nutrient-rich compost

Additional Add-Ons
- Talented CCKC staff members to educate your event attendees + monitor contamination throughout your event (additional fee, required for events over 500 attendees)

- CCKC may charge additional location fees if you fall outside the service area
