In Kansas City, many neighborhoods host their own tree collections in the beginning of January so please check locally for drop-off sites.
From kcmo.gov : ”City leaf and brush sites are open until Jan. 18. KCMO residents may dispose of natural Christmas trees for free on Saturdays until then. During the weekdays, Christmas trees may be disposed of for a $5.00 fee. Trees must be free of all ornaments and decorations. Drop off is free to residents on Saturdays with identification.”
